Ephrata hotels were once in short supply, but with the growth of this small Pennsylvania town in Lancaster County there has been something of an explosion in hotels and real estate.

Note: When booking your room, be absolutely certain that the hotel you are booking is in or near Ephrata, Pennsylvania. While Ephrata is not a very common town name, there is also an Ephrata, WA. This might be a bit too far to commute to your meetings or for visiting area attractions.

Ephrata Hotels:

The Ephrata Motel- This tiny motel  is situated at 535 S State Street in Ephrata. There are maybe 10 rooms in the entire motel and it is directly across the street from a bar. The bar has a habit of changing names quite often, but I believe it’s still known as the Edgewater. The motel sits directly in front of a creek, and while my 20 minutes in one of the rooms (a friend’s friend was visiting town) didn’t have me terrified to touch the carpets, it’s not known for its cleanliness. This is not, however, the place to park your new Lexus with the top of the line  custom stereo.

The Scottish Inn in Ephrata, PA- The Scottish Inn is located at 230 North Reading Road in Ephrata, also known as Rt 272. It is right near the Ephrata hospital, as well as the only McDonald, Burger King, and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in town.

The Hampton Inn & Suites- The Hampton is located at 380 East Main Street, Ephrata, PA on Rt 322. This is near the center of town, which makes it ideal for walking to the small shops and eateries on Main Street.

Dutch Gardens Motel- 230 North Reading Road, Ephrata, PA is a hotel near Ephrata Community Hospital on Rt 272. Fast food and pizza are available near this hotel.

Dutchmaid Motel- 222 North Reading Road, Ephrata, PA (aka Rt 272)- located near the Ephrata Community Hospital and the only McDonald’s, Burger King, and KFC in town.

Ephrata Bed and Breakfasts

Kromer’s Bed & Breakfast- This cute little Ephrata B&B is at 229 West Main Street in Ephrata, PA (aka- Rt 322), near the 322/272 junction. Though I’ve driven past it many times, I’ve never been inside but there are many rave reviews.

Tree Top Bed & Breakfast- Located at 326 Ridge Avenue, Ephrata, PA, the Tree Top B & B is away from the bustle of Main Street traffic. Ephrata, however, is fairly easy to navigate, and not very big, so finding area attractions will not be a problem from this location.

Clearview Farm Bed and Breakfast Inn?- at 355 Clearview Road, Ephrata, PA sits on 150 acres of farmland, giving you a great deal of privacy and quiet.

The Hurst House Bed and Breakfast- This Ephrata B&B is located at 154 East Farmersville Road, Ephrata, PA in the south end of Ephrata, between Brownstown in the west, and Hinkletown in the East.

The Hertzog Homestead B&B- Located at 470 West Metzler Road, Ephrata, PA, this Bed and Breakfast in Ephrata, PA  is in the south end of Ephrata, surrounded by Farmland. Like the Hurst House listed above, it is between Brownstown and Hinkletown (and is, in fact, quite close to the Hurst House, being only slightly closer to town and slightly closer to Brownstown).

Jacob Keller House- 990 Rettew Mill Road, Ephrata, PA.  This Ephrata B&B is on the west end of Ephrata, very near Rothsville. There is a wonderful Amish roadside stand just up the road, where they also sell home made spaghetti sauce and pasta (not cooked).

Other Ephrata Lodging

Woodcrest Retreat- A campground in Ephrata, Woodcrest Retreat is a Christian Summer camp and campground located at 225 Woodcrest Rd, Ephrata, PA in 110 acres of woodland. All “family” campsites (non-groups) have water and electric,  and several have sewer hookups.A semi -shaded grass area is provided for those who prefer to camp in tents. There is also a  a dumping station, picnic tables, fire rings, a bath house, a playground and a camp store. There are also shelters (up to 10 people in a single shelter) and cabins (up to 8 ) available. There is also a house trailer available, complete with plumbing and electricity that will sleep up to 11 people.

Gideon’s International-Lanc North Camp- No information could be found regarding Gideon’s International-Lanc North Camp, including address.

Hotels Near Ephrata, PA

Akron Motel- 116 South 7th Street, Akron, PA  Akron is between Brownstown and Ephrata, and is also near Lancaster and Lititz, PA.

Holiday Inn- 1 Denver Road, Denver, PA 17517  Denver is convenient for travelers to Ephrata. It is easily reached by Route 272, Route 222, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Route 76).
